The financial records you enter: your recurring bills, whether each one is paid, your savings goals and their contribution history, and the revenue and cost figures you put into the Profit Tracker. Alongside that we keep your name, email address, timezone and currency, and the messages you send in Support Chat.

We never ask for, and never store, your bank details, card numbers or bank login. Runway is a place to record what you already know. It does not connect to your bank.

You can see your own records. The admin the owner assigns to you can see them too, and can add or update bills and savings on your behalf. That is the point of having one.

An admin who is not assigned to you cannot reach your records at all. That is enforced by the database itself, not just by hiding buttons, so it holds even against a direct API request.

The owner can see member records and read conversations, for support and safety. Everything an admin or the owner does to somebody else’s records is written to an audit log with their name against it.

Payments are handled entirely by Square. We never see your card. What we receive from Square is your email address, the subscription status, and the date you have paid through, which is what decides whether your account stays open.

We email you your account setup link, password resets, and notices when a payment fails. Bill reminders arrive in the app, and on your phone if you have turned notifications on. You control which reminders you receive from Settings, and you can turn phone notifications off at any time.

If your account is suspended or archived, your records are kept so they can be restored. Closing an account stops sign in but does not erase your financial history. Permanent deletion is a separate, deliberate step the owner performs on request.

Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and are never visible to us. Access to every table is restricted at the database level, and administrative keys are held only on the server, never in your browser.
